From the 18th to the 23rd March a delegation of meat professionals from China a travelled to Italy to get to know the European production model implemented in the Italian beef sector and gain first-hand knowledge about their specific regulations and particular standards. The 5 days itinerary encompasses in site visits to farms, slaughterhouses and beef breeding facilities to show the entire production chain of the European beef industry as well as some beef tasting at local restaurants. Among the participants, there were 1 association (China Meat Association), and relevant decision makers regarding the access to the Chinese market
