Beef wok

Ingredients (8 people)

  • 200 g of beef
  • 200 g of bean sprouts
  • ½ onion
  • ½ zucchini
  • ½ carrot
  • 2 spring onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp of dry sherry (Optional)
  • ½ tbsp of sugar
  • Vegetable oil

To marinate the beef:

  • ½ tbsp of oysters sauce
  • ½ tbsp of soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp of dry sherry (Optional)
  • ½ tbsp of cornstarch

Elaboration

Cut thin beef slices, marinate them with the soy sauce, the oysters sauce, the dry sherry and the cornstarch. Leave it in the fridge for, at least, 20 minutes.

Fry the beef with a bit vegetable oil for some minutes. 

Shred the garlic, the onion and the zucchini and chop the spring onion into slices of 3 cm. Sauté all the ingredients. Then, add the oysters sauce, the brown sugar, the soy sauce, the dry sherry and the cornstarch. Stir well and add the beef, the bean sprouts and the spring onion green stem.

Finishing

Increase the heat to high, sauté for one more minute and place in a dish. Serve with plain rice.
